Maran winery”s origins date back to 1828-1830, when Sargis and his wife, Maran, emigrated from Persia to Armenia in the province of Vayots Dzor. In 1860 their son Harutyun planted the most beautiful garden in his native Artabuynk village and named it “Marani Aygi” (Maran’s garden) in honor of his mother.
A number of tasting events are currently being held at the ”Maran” winery. The tasting is held in the factory of “Maran” company, which is located in the village of Musaler, Armavir region. The duration of the main tasting, depending on the size of the group, is 1-1.5 hours. If the group is less than 5 people, the corresponding amount is paid to 5 people.
There is also a tasting-excursion, during which the millennial history of Armenian wine is presented, the role of wine in the life and culture of the Armenian people, in the formation of identity and value systems is shown.
